I am an experienced raw photo processing software user, but have always had trouble wrapping my mind around PS and similar software, so usually have bad experiences trying them, and then I move back to my raw processor software options. So far Day 1 I like what I see. I see there are no lens corrections. What is an efficient way for me to shoot raw photos, use Pixelmator Pro, and have lens corrections in my final result?

The thought crossed my mind that Pixelmator Pro uses the Apple Core engine and maybe that engine also applies lens corrections?? Oh, and we plan to add a lens distortion correction adjustment that would fix bumps like this — in fact, one has been more or less developed but there’s some groundwork that needs to be done before it can be integrated into our adjustment engine.

I am happy to post slightly convex pictures until a finely tuned, user friendly, problem-specific solution is available. My store has a ridiculous number of product variants and hand-tweaking each photo beyond the current colour adjustment would drive me to drink hand sanitiser I await the official release with barely-controlled excitement! As for lens distortion correction — we use the Apple RAW engine for base RAW decoding and lens distortions are corrected automatically for lens profiles supported by that engine. A manual tool is in development but that has been pushed back as we have plans to add a few more adjustments and make some fundamental changes to improve a few other adjustments, so it would be better to first release those changes.

For photographers a manual lens distortion tool is a must. Sat Dec 25, pm you can also use the crop tool to help correct perspectives of buildings. This combined with the previously mentioned transform tool makes a great combo.
