When you get to the Encode Mode, see if Intel Quicksync is available. If it is there, try rendering with this option and you should see fast render times. Thanks Mr. Derek, I made some experiments. Excellent report Mustafa!!! Now that you know the possibilities, it is up to you to select the method that works best. All the best :. How if i want to upload for instagram?
I found always could not proceed by instagram, i am using dslr for recording. What render do I use to send the movie by email? You should never try and send a video via email! Most email services will not allow such a big file size to be sent, even if you make it quite small.
Then send link in email to the person you want. OR another method is to upload video to Dropbox – this is a free service. Thanks for the write-up. A quick question. What is the relationship between the video resolution in the project properties for instance p and the template you use at render time? Couldn’t my project properties have one setting yet I still render at a different setting?
It seems to me that when you use the advanced render screen like in your tutorial that the project settings don’t really matter. Short answer to your question is YES! Doing this will give you the best possible playback while editing. This will cause major lag and frustration. Thanks Derek, I understand better now. I appreciate your tutorials!
No matter how i put the settings all my renderings come out as 15 fps.? Even my source file is always 30 fps. Why is that? I can also see a mistake in this screen shot that I will have to fix. That was a quick respond.
I have already tried it all without any changes. I’ve never experienced anything like this before I can change all parameters incl. It’s just stuck at 15 fps no matter what I do. Goodnight from here now.. There is no bug in the program, otherwise other people would be reporting the same problem.
These types of things always come down to something simple. The first thing you need to do is reset the program. Start a brand new test project and import just one video. Don’t do anything to it, except cut down to about 1 minute.
Make sure to follow instructions from this tutorial. Before you go to the rendering stage, open the Project Media tab, press on top of video you imported and check to see what Frame Rate video is using. Make sure it is Then go and render the video. My guess is that it will work. If it does not work again, I need you to send me a copy of your. Don’t give up just yet!!! I have reinstalled the software and re-registered and now it works. I guess that’s more or less the same as a resetting.
Anyway it all works now even with the same files I work on before, so something did happen and changed it for me. Thanks a lot for your help and encouragement. That’s great news! If anything weird ever happens again, just do a reset, because this works better than re-installing in most cases. FYI it has happened again more times now Don’t know what it is, but it’s like all of a sudden it can only render out in 15 fps.
I have done a reset more times now and afterwards it works fine again for a while. I can not work with this when I can not rely on it’s stability – and frankly speaking the whole setting procedure and some of the UI is annoying to me compared to other software I use. And – maybe because of my “bugs” here on my system – the quality of the rendering output is slightly poorer quality than what i import into the program, and that is a big disappointment to watch too.
I only got the Movie Studio because of the 3 wheel color correction options and secondary some of the special effects. But it’s not worth it to waste more time now. If that doesn’t work I vaguely recall this problem cropping up a few years ago so do a search on this forum. Here’s what I did for anyone else who may run into this issue. I uninstalled Movie Studio completely for the last time.
I then installed the version linked by fellow user vkmast. After downloading Movie Studio it kept asking to enter my serial number and after doing so the program wouldn’t open. A pop up message kept telling me Movie Studio would restart automatically and it would not. I kept trying to open Movie Studio but I was stuck on a endless loop of inputting my serial number and it telling me the program will restart Allow your computer to make changes if prompted to.
This is in line with what was first suggested here. As EricLNZ recollected, it has come up rather often earlier in the transition period. Are you sure you want to report this comment post user as questionable? Once you have retrieved anything important from the temporary files cache, you can now perform a full program reset by doing this following:.
The cache is now cleaned. Remove unused media to help free up resources. To do this, go to the Project Media tab and you will see a button that looks like a lightning bolt. Clicking on that will remove any unused media from your project and help to free up system resources.
Try working on your project in pieces. Edit each section separately, render, and re-import into a new master project to stitch them together into a final audio and video stream. If it always hangs at the same frame or place, try deleting the files at that point in your timeline and then replace those with newly transcoded or recaptured clips. If you are using custom settings for rendering, try rendering without any customization applied. If that works, then you can guess that your custom settings are not compatible with your rendering format.
If you’re working in an environment where files are scattered across multiple drives, try placing your media on your local disk drive. Try adding the. Go to Options – Preferences – Video. This is just way too low for any Video Editing program to work with properly. Once you throw a couple of HD Video files into Vegas, it’s going to completely freak out.
A solution to get around this problem is obviously to lower the Bit Rate you are Rendering to. Anything under 10MBps should be more than enough to create a nice looking video. Trying to render to 20, 30, 40MBps is just silly. Avoid Windows Media Video. Sony AVC. HD Video files are very large, so you need plenty of Hard Disc space for them to be written to.
If your Hard Drive is almost full and never been de-fragmented, it can slow up rendering times and in worse case scenarios create a crash. If you set this too high and don’t have enough RAM memory installed, there won’t be enough RAM left to process your videos when you are rendering your final video and this may cause a render freeze or crash. Sometimes another weird problem may occur, which I call a Vegas X-file. If Vegas crashes and reports an exception error, sometimes setting the Dynamic RAM Preview value to 0 MB that is zero megabytes will fix the render crash.
However, as I have previously said, MB is normally the safest setting. Download Now! Movie Studio Zen is a fully independent site and all our content is free.

You are correct. Vegas Pro 19 is only certified to work with Windows It does also work with Windows 11, but is not officially certified yet. Your graphics card is also getting a bit old now, to work with the latest GPU acceleration available in Vegas Pro now, it best to have an Nvidia series or higher.
AMD Radeon also works well. Then what version of Vegas Pro should I use for Windows 8. I can’t remember which versions were compatible with Windows 8. My guess is that Vegas Pro 14 was probably the last version that worked with W8. Everything is now GPU accelerated, which is why you need a modern graphics card for best performance.
So, I use Sony Vegas No problem. Tried to render something like that today, told me an error occurred and I couldn’t create the file.
Not sure what that is about. Re-boot your computer if you don’t regularly do that! Try resetting Vegas first. This often fixes random problems that happen out of the blue.
Will give that a shot when I edit again. Thank you. Hi I am trying to render a 28 minute video, three things have happened Its within the last few weeks suddenly started doing this. I have deleted the cache and done other things but still nothing works. I am using Vegas Pro 13, on Windows 7 and my computer is speedy. You also need to check your Facebook account settings – Facebook plays low quality version, unless you change your settings!
Press triangle at top right corner and then select Settings, then select Video at bottom of left hand menu list. Yeah Facebook does lessen the quality of the video, I just figured you might know a way for me to show my videos in HD quality just like how I see those major brands put out HD videos. That’s where I wanna be But yes I got my settings set to HD within Facebook.
What exactly looks wrong with your videos? What type of videos are you uploading? Can you send a link to one of them, so I can see what you mean? Hi Mr. Derek, I want to thank you for all your work I learned a lot from your videos. I have a question. I use sony movie studio platinum 13 and I want to know what is the best option for rendering for my laptop Intel Core i7 QM 2. The reason I say this, is because your Nvidia Graphics Card is not compatible with the Mainconcept Encoder – this is try for most people, so don’t worry about it.
You may also be able to do an experiment, but I cannot guarantee that it will work. Re-boot Movie Studio. When you get to the Encode Mode, see if Intel Quicksync is available.
